The Lingua Research, Post Graduate Studies and Innovation Centre aims to bring together researchers, working in a range of disciplines from across International Training College-Lingua and further afield, to enhance collaboration opportunities and to maximise real-world impact.
Aims and Objectives
The Lingua Research, Post Graduate Studies and Innovation Centre aims to:
- contribute to debates on diversity, focusing on Namibia in a global context.
- provide a platform for research, create opportunities for new research, and establish national and international collaborations.
- support research by postgraduates and practitioners in the relevant fields.
- promote networking in research, innovation, and development on a local and international level.
The principal objectives of the Centre are to:
- promote research by drawing together, coordinating and enhancing existing and potential areas of national and international excellence
- support the development of researchers and research groups working across disciplinary and organisational boundaries
- provide resource management and infrastructure to members of the Centre
- distribute research results to the wider public to make an impact on the wellbeing of bilingual and multilingual communities and individuals, including influencing social and educational policies and practices concerning them.
