Lingua College proudly hosted its 25th Anniversary Business Breakfast 2026, bringing together leaders from government, industry, academia, development partners, alumni, and the private sector to celebrate a remarkable milestone while strengthening partnerships for the future.

Held as part of the College's 25th Anniversary celebrations, the Business Breakfast served as a platform for dialogue on education, innovation, and workforce development, reinforcing Lingua's commitment to producing graduates equipped with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required in an evolving global economy.

The event was officially opened by Lingua College's leadership, who reflected on the institution's journey over the past 25 years and reaffirmed its commitment to delivering quality, industry-responsive education. Guests had the opportunity to network, exchange ideas, and explore collaborative initiatives aimed at strengthening the relationship between higher education and the business community.

The keynote address was delivered by Hon. Gaudentia Kröhne, Deputy Minister of Industries, Mines and Energy, who challenged higher education institutions and industry to work together in preparing Namibia's workforce for emerging economic sectors. She highlighted the growing opportunities in green hydrogen, oil and gas, nuclear energy, critical minerals, and digital transformation, emphasizing the importance of equipping graduates with future-ready skills to support the country's industrialisation and economic growth. She also commended Lingua College for its continued commitment to innovation and its efforts to align academic programmes with national development priorities.

Throughout the morning, participants engaged in meaningful discussions on strengthening partnerships between academia and industry, with a focus on internship opportunities, graduate recruitment, curriculum development, research collaboration, entrepreneurship, and corporate sponsorships. These discussions reaffirmed the shared responsibility of educational institutions and employers in developing a highly skilled and competitive workforce.

Lingua College also showcased its growing portfolio of accredited qualifications and professional training programmes designed to address current and future labour market needs. The College highlighted its ongoing investment in digital education, emerging technologies, and practical learning experiences that prepare graduates to excel in a rapidly changing world.

The event attracted representatives from government ministries, regulatory authorities, leading businesses, financial institutions, technology companies, and strategic partners, all of whom reaffirmed their commitment to closer collaboration in advancing education and skills development in Namibia.
