The IT week officially launched at the Roman Catholic Hall and was graced by top public officials, private IT companies and a number of high school in Windhoek, Namibia. Green Enterprise Solutions, Standard Chartered Bank, Paradise Computers and Deep Catch were presented with some special awards for supporting the IT program at International Training College- Lingua. The theme as “Creating Industry partnership through Information Technology” was quite befitting as students interacted with IT gurus in public and private sectors.
Students demonstrated the computer systems that they developed to the private companies that were present. These innovative computer systems were designed by these upcoming computer professionals at ITCL and were aimed at improving existing or automating manual systems. The presentations were applauded by the many speakers who indicated that the training ITCL’S approach of marrying theory to practice is a good way of coming up with fully “baked” graduates who are fit for purpose in industry and commerce.
